I am a Filipina American living in south Louisiana; my mother's family, the Entradas, are from Sogod, Southern Leyte, Philippines.
I work as a copywriter by day, and invent stories at night. Not all of them are completely invented, though. Some are inspired by family tales. Others are inspired by seemingly uneventful events that make for a good story. When that happens, I try my best to write it.
Although print literary mags still seem to hold higher esteem among the "critics," I have found some of my favorite short stories online, written by virtually unknown writers like myself. All hail the Internet for spreading good literature! Here's a few of my favorite sites:
